*This activity departs from St. Petersburg (FL), a city located roughly 40 mins from central Tampa. You must make your own way to St. Petersburg

Enjoy 2 hours of thrills as you explore Tampa Bay aboard a speedboat!

Departing from the Port of Tampa, you will explore the Florida coast at the wheel of your own speedboat. After a brief introduction to the cockpit of your boat, your guide will provide remote commentary about the sites and animals that you will encounter throughout the 25-km trip.

Pass through a natural reserve to observe manatees, dolphins, turtles and many other marine animals, before heading towards Fort De Soto Park, recognized as being a strategic fort during the Civil War. You'll also see the enormous Sunshine Skyway Bridge, a road bridge stretching almost 9 km across the entire bay! Then speed along the waters of the Gulf of Mexico before going back in the bay.

Enjoy a thrilling trip under the Florida sun onboard a speedboat and discover the history, landscape and monuments of the region!

Each booking admits 1 person aboard a shared boat

Each boat can carry a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child, on the condition that the total weight of the 3 passengers is less than 225 kg (495 lbs)

  • Availability: every day (excluding exceptional dates).
  • Departure times: 9am, 11am, 1pm or 3pm (+ 5pm June to September)
  • Please arrive approx. 30 minutes before the start of your tour
  • Duration: approx. 2 hours
  • Departure point: Port of Tampa (exact address indicated on voucher)
  • Language: English
  • Minimum 2 participants required to book
  • To take part in this activity simply present your booking voucher to the local tour operator on the day
  • Only persons of 18 years and over are allowed to drive the speed boat
  • The maximum weight limit per boat is approximately 225 kg (495 lbs)
  • It is possible to change driver if there are several people sharing a boat. Several stops will be planned during the tour
  • No previous speedboat driving experience is required to be able to take part
  • The boats are equipped with a storage compartment to stow bags but they are likely to get wet
  • You will be asked to show valid proof of ID to participate
  • In winter we recommend that you bring a jacket
  • In summer, we recommend you bring a swimsuit, light footwear, a beach towel and sunglasses
  • Sunscreen recommended in all seasons
  • This activity is subject to cancellation in exceptionally bad weather conditions, in which case a refund or an alternative date will be proposed
