You'll meet your guide in the heart of Salzburg and drive to the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine in Germany, about 45 minutes from Salzburg.

The Berchtesgaden Salt Mine has been in operation since 1517, and is now Germany's oldest working salt mine. Tours have been open to the public since 1880, and the visitors' area was redeveloped in 2007 creating a truly original must-see experience.

Arriving in Berchtesgaden, you'll don a protective suit and explore the salt room, the salt cathedral and enjoy a raft ride on the mirror lake, an underground lake at the heart of the salt mine. 

After your visit, you can enjoy some free time in the village of Berchtesgaden before being driven back to Salzburg.
