Plunge into the depths of Tijuca forest in a Jeep and marvel at this tropical forest right in the heart of the Brazilian megalopolis. A half-hour trek will then give you the chance to see species of monkeys, birds and butterflies native to an Atlantic forest climate (Mata Atlantica).
Continue your walk through the tropical forest as you pass by the Cachoeira dos Macacos (Monkeys' Waterfall) and the Cascatinha (Taunay Waterfall).
As you follow a route which will take you to the Capela Mayrink (Mayrink Chapel) and the Vista Chinesa (Chinese Viewpoint), your guide will explain all about the 19th-century reforestation project.

- Departure time: 8am (a shuttle will collect you from your hotel)
- Important information for cruise passengers: a shuttle will collect you from the port at 8:15am and return you to the port at approximately 1:30pm. The meeting point is located opposite H.Stern Jewellers, which is easily spotted upon leaving the ship
- In order to take part in this activity you will need to present your voucher to the service provider on the day.
- You will need to phone the service provider once you are in Rio in order to arrange the exact time and place of your hotel pick-up (your hotel reception desk can make this call – number indicated on your voucher)
- If you have chosen to go directly to the activity departure location, you will have to go just outside of the port, close to the main port of depot No. 4, where a Gray Line company representative will be waiting for you with a sign so that you can recognise them. Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the activity departure time
No charges will be levied for cancellations made more than 7 days before the date of the activity (excluding special dates). After this, the following charges will be levied:
Between 7 and 4 days prior: 50% of the price
After this time and in case of a no-show: 100% of the price
Any reservation made for special dates cannot be cancelled, modified or refunded.
