概要

Get ready for an unforgettable journey through the heart of Milford Sound!

You will leave Queenstown and travel by car to the fjords. On the way you will discover this superb Lake Te Anau before stopping off at the Mirror Lakes. There you will admire the reflection of the mountains in the lake and enjoy the calm and restful scenery. If the weather is good, you will cross the footbridge over the "Chasm" and watch the powerful waterfalls beneath your feet !

When you arrive at Milford Sound, you will climb aboard a catamaran and begin your 1 hour 45 minute cruise. You will discover the superb landscapes that Rudyard Kipling described as being "the eighth wonder of the world" ! From the water you will see waterfalls, valleys, glaciers and dramatic cliffs… all surrounded by dense tropical forest!

You may even come across some wild animals… Seals, penguins and dolphins regularly swim alongside the boat!

At the end of the day you will head back to Queenstown with plenty of photos and long-lasting memories!

  • Available: every day (except in exceptional circumstances)
  • Duration: around 12 and a half hours
  • Departure time: 7:20am. You will meet at 7:10am in the centre of Queenstown
  • To take part in this activity, simply present your voucher to the local tour operator
  • The guided tour and cruise will be commentated in English. Translation sheets will be provided in Japanese, German, Spanish, French, Korean and Mandarin during the cruise
  • Reminder: Lunch is not included with this activity. We recommend bringing food for a picnic
  • We recommend bringing: closed-toe walking shoes, a hat, sun cream, a waterproof jacket and 1 litre of water
  • The tour is free for children under two who can sit on their parent's lap
