Spot the largest Magellanic penguin colony in South America on an excursion to Punta Tombo from Puerto Madryn!
Your guide will take you to Punta Tombo in a minibus. This coast is one of the most famous and most visited in Argentine Patagonia. Along the way, you'll see all kinds of local animals such as Dominican gulls, cormorants, Chubut steamer ducks, and many more. You'll encounter Magellanic penguins and other penguin breeds in their natural habitat.
This reserve in the province of Chubut is home to about 1 million Magellanic penguins, the largest continental colony of this species. Each year, the Magellanic penguins opt to undertake their breeding cycle here in Punta Tombo.
After spending some time on the reserve, you'll head back to Puerto Madryn in the afternoon.
