Discover Porto's must-sees on foot, by bus and by boat, accompanied by a multilingual guide!
A coastal city, Porto is the capital of northern Portugal and one of the country's most beautiful cities. It is famous for the production of its namesake spirit and for its imposing bridges. On this day, your multilingual guide will take you on a walking and bus tour of Porto's must-sees, including the Lello bookshop.
You'll start by exploring the São Bento train station, built on the ruins of a former convent. It is home to no fewer than 20,000 earthenware tiles, known as azulejos. Continue down the 250-metre Aliados avenue to the historic center.
Your tour continues with a visit to the 76-metre-high Tour des Clercs, visible from several vantage points across the city. Built in the 18th century, the tower is now the tallest bell tower in the country. Continue along rue Miguel Bombarda and discover the art galleries, then take a break in the romantic gardens of the Palais de Cristal, located on the upper part of Porto. Enjoy a view of Porto, over the Douro River, and catch a glimpse of rabelos, traditional boats.
Lunch in a traditional restaurant in the Ribeira district, followed by a visit to a Port wine cellar, where you'll taste 2 Port wines.
End your day with a cruise on the Douro, where you'll see the 6 bridges for which Porto is famous.
