Set off to discover the iconic Montmartre district accompanied by a local English-speaking guide!
You'll meet your guide outside the metro in front of the famous Moulin Rouge cabaret venue, one of Paris's many iconic attractions.
You'll begin your tour of the Montmartre district at the Café des Deux Moulins, the must-see location where part of the famous French film Amélie was shot. You'll immediately feel the film's vibe and conjure up images of Amélie waiting on the tables. You can continue your tour of the district with a stop at one of the best bakeries in Paris, where you can snack on a delicious buttery croissant.
Throughout your tour, your guide will share interesting facts about the district's history and cultural and artistic life. Notable landmarks include Pablo Picasso's former residence and French actress-singer Dalida's house, where she lived for many years.
Montmartre also has a vineyard on the side of its hill. It's a testament to Montmartre's wine-growing past when inhabitants worked the vines back when Montmartre was just a village on the outskirts of Paris. Nearly 1,700 vines still grow here, which totals around 1,950 kg of grapes that are turned into red wine. Opposite the vineyard, you'll find the entrance to the famous Le Lapin Agile cabaret.
Your tour will end at the majestic Sacré-Coeur basilica. Situated at the top of Montmartre Hill, it's the highest point in Paris and offers breathtaking views of the city.
