Created in 1948 by choreographers George Balanchine and Lincoln Kirstein, the NYCB is today a delightful mix of classical and contemporary ballet. NYC Ballet is renowned worldwide for its excellence.

You'll make your way to Lincoln Center, one of New York's most iconic cultural landmarks. You'll be welcomed by the elegance and grandeur of this space dedicated to the arts. The New York City Ballet, renowned for its excellence and innovation in the world of dance, will offer you a unique and memorable experience.

From the your seat, marvel at the virtuosity of the dancers and the beauty of the choreography. Performances vary from season to season, including classical and contemporary ballets, often accompanied by live music played by a renowned orchestra. You'll discover works by famous choreographers such as George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins, as well as creations by emerging talents.

When booking you will be asked to select your seating position (see seating plan below):

  • Orchestra seats and sides of floors (cheapest category, less well-positioned seats)
  • Orchestra centre-back seats, 1st floor and 2nd floor mid-side seats, 3rd floor
  • Orchestra mid-centre seats, 1st floor front side seats, 3rd and 4th floor front seats
  • Orchestra front and centre seats, 1st floor centre seats (best seats, most expensive category)

You will receive the best available seats (side by side) in the category of your choice at the time of booking. We therefore advise you to book as early as possible in order to get the best seats.

  • Seasonal activity: from September to May only
  • Days and times: vary according to season (see calendar), generally:
    - 2pm, 7:30pm or 8pm Tuesday to Saturday
    - 3pm on Sunday
  • We ask you to arrive 45 minutes before the start of the show
  • Duration: varies by show, generally around 2 hours
  • Location: David H. Koch Theater in Manhattan, NYC
  • You will need a valid ID to enter the show
  • Children under 5 years old are not admitted
