Discover Naples on foot and sample the typical flavors of local street food on a guided tour of its historic center!
You'll meet your guide in the heart of Naples, in front of the Santa Maria Assunta Cathedral, better known as the Duomo of San Gennaro (named after the patron saint). You'll then begin a stroll through the city's lively alleyways.
You'll walk along the famous Via dei Tribunali, the backbone of the historic center, and taste Tarallo Napoletano, a typical salty and spicy cookie. You'll continue on to the emblematic alleyway of San Gregorio Armeno, nicknamed the street of nativity scenes, where craft stores dedicated to Christmas figurines line up.
You'll then move on to Spaccanapoli, the straight artery that seems to divide the city in two, then reach Piazza del Gesù Nuovo, known for its volcanic façade and rococo obelisk. You'll also catch a glimpse of the Teatro San Carlo, the oldest opera house still in operation.
The tour continues to the vast Piazza del Plebiscito, surrounded by neoclassical colonnades, before reaching Via Toledo, one of Naples' most emblematic avenues.
Throughout the tour, several tastings will be offered: pizza "portafoglio" (folded like a wallet), sfogliatella or baba for dessert, all accompanied by a Neapolitan espresso.
