Meet your local guide at 6 pm for a two-hour walking tour of Mexico City. You'll see the Palacio de Bellas Artes (Palace of Fine Arts), one of the most famous museums in the city, and the Palacio de Correos with its impressive architecture. Your guide will tell you more about the history of this building and the Casa de los Azulejos, a baroque palace; adjoining the Postal Palace, this building constructed in the 18th century is covered with blue and white earthenware.
You'll also explore Constitution Square, otherwise known as the Zócalo. It's one of the biggest squares in the country and is an absolute must when visiting Mexico City. It's home to the National Palace as well as the largest cathedral in the country, which has been classed as a World Heritage Site since 1987 thanks to its Spanish Baroque architecture. Behind this square you can see the Templo Mayor, complete with Aztec ruins; the guide will tell you all about the discovery of this site and its history.
Finally, you'll make a stop at the bottom of the Torre Latinoamericana. This 44-storey skyscraper, inspired by the Empire State Building in New York, was the city's tallest building from its construction in 1956 until 2004. From the top floor of this building, the stunning panoramic view of Mexico City will have you in awe (optional ticket for the Torre Latinoamericana observation area at an additional cost).
