Discover the Northern side of Madeira with its volcanoes, before crossing the valley to visit the caves in Sao Vicente and seeing costal villages.
Leaving Funchal, Madeira’s capital, we follow the way to São Vicente village, idyllically set in a most beautiful valley where you will be able to visit the best underground volcanic features ever found in the Island, São Vicente Caves.
We will continue our drive to Ponta Delgada, a picturesque village where the natural surroundings can be admired at their best. The return journey takes you through stunning valleys, passing the beautiful village of Faial and Porto da Cruz where you will have the possibility of visiting the “Northern Milling Company” for its sugar cane rum production, which is not always in time of the harvest or fermentation but still you can see all the procedure and history of one of the most important mills of the island.
