Escape to one of the world's largest botanic gardens, just minutes from central London!
The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew Gardens, is a blend of history and nature that will introduce you to over 30,000 species of plants.
There are exhibitions in a unique setting, flowering paths, elegant gardens, over 8 glasshouses and galleries housing a variety of vegetation, rare and endangered plant species, Kew Palace, art galleries and an 18 metre high footbridge, allowing you to look down on the treetops...!
Kew Gardens is also an active scientific research centre: the Agius Evolution Garden will immerse you in botany. You will learn about the preservation of such a large collection of plants and how scientists work to protect rare species.
You will have the opportunity to visit the Great Pagoda, over 50 metres high, and Kew Palace, the former home of King George III and Queen Charlotte, and learn about the stories and history of British royal life.
Finally, explore the secret life of bees but on a human scale by visiting The Hive, a contemporary work installed in the heart of a wildflower meadow recreating life as in a real beehive!
