概要

Explore volcanic landscapes during this hike in the South of Basse Terre!

Departing from your hotel, head to the mountainous region of Southern Basse Terre. When you arrive at the volcano, you will be given some dry fruits and a bottle of mineral water.

The hike to the summit starts from the Bains Jaunes. During the walk, your guide will tell you all about the different volcanic phases and the abundance of vegetation in the area. After a 3 hour 30 minute walk, you will be taken back to the foot of the volcano. You will then be able to relax and swim in the magnificent Bains Jaunes pools.

After a quick snack you will be taken back to your hotel at the end of the afternoon.

  • Availability: Saturday (excluding exceptional dates)
  • Duration: one day
  • Time: 6am departure from Saint-François, 6:30am departure from Sainte-Anne, 7am departure from Gosier
  • Language: tour commentated in French and English
  • Departure point: your hotel in Saint-François, Saint-Anne or Gosier
  • To take part in this activity, simply present your voucher to the service provider on the day
  • The hotel transfer option is available for the majority of hotels in Saint-François, Saint-Anne and Gosier. If your hotel is not on the list please go to the main meeting point in the town centres
  • A minimum number of participants is required for the tour to go ahead. In case of cancellation, an alternative date or a refund will be offered
  • Please note: You must be in good physical condition to do the hiking 
  • We advise you wear comfortable walking shoes
  • The transport from your hotel will be in a 4x4 or a minibus depending on the number of participants
