Leave Frankfurt by bus and follow the banks of the Neckar to reach Heidelberg. During the journey, your guide will tell you all about the history of this romantic town.
Upon arrival in Heidelberg, you’ll be greeted by pink-brick buildings, quaint alleyways and timber-frame houses.
Your guide will then take you to Heidelberg Castle where you can explore the romantic ruins. Stroll through the castle’s gardens and take a look at one of the biggest wine barrels in the world.
After a lunch break, you’ll go on a guided walking tour of the medieval town centre. Your guide will show you the Hotel Zum Ritter, the Church of the Holy Spirit and the old Karlstor bridge.
You can also admire Heidelberg University, the oldest university in Germany, before heading back to Frankfurt.
