Discover Bordeaux's historic district on a gourmet guided tour
The guided tour will start with a coffee and chocolate tasting in a coffee shop where your guide will tell you more about the history of the port that was developed to meet the needs of the economic activities and goods that moved through it.
You'll then stop at a grocery shop where you'll taste honey, cheese and seasonal fruit, or strawberries and cheese in summer. You can also try the famous chocolatine and a variety of breads. Of course, you won't want to miss tasting a Bordeaux pastry, the canelé, at an artisan bakery.
You'll then head to the Capucins covered market, close to Bordeaux city centre. Here, you can discover the flavours of different cheeses with wine or charcuterie from several producers.
Finally, you'll follow your guide to the Saint-Michel area to a bistronomic restaurant to sample a starter or signature dessert from one of Bordeaux's top chefs with a glass of wine.
During the tour, you'll have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of Bordeaux's iconic monuments such as the Place de la Bourse, the Miroir d'Eau, the Place du Palais, the Grosse Cloche and the Basilique Saint-Michel.
