Discover the landscapes of Spain's Basque coast on a guided day tour!
You'll hop on a coach in central Bilbao and head to your first stop - Getxo. You'll pass through the former industrial towns of Barakaldo, Sestao and Portugalete.
On arrival in Getxo, you'll make a brief stop at the Biscay hanging bridge. You'll have the chance to climb this UNESCO World Heritage bridge and enjoy a breathtaking view of the city.
You'll then head to the magnificent 45-metre-high neo-Gothic Butron Castle before carrying on to the islet of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe.
This Basque Country must-see is known for its lovely chapel that looks over the Bay of Biscay - no wonder it was used as a filming location for Game of Thrones! You'll love this spectacular setting. You'll continue along the coast to the picturesque fishing village of Bermeo, where your guide will give you a tour. You'll then head up the coast to the village of Mundaka, located in the heart of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. This fishing village is particularly popular with surfers thanks to its unusual left-breaking wave.
You'll follow the beach path to reach the town of Guernica, which inspired Picasso's famous painting. You'll learn all about its history and heritage and be able to visit its opera house and oak tree, the Biscayan emblem.
At the end of the tour you'll be driven back to Bilbao.
