- Tour of Baalbek
Departing from your hotel in Beirut, you will first visit Baalbek, an ancient Phoenician city that is now considered to be one of the most beautiful examples of Roman architecture. You can admire the vestiges of Jupiter's Temple, which stands out due to its imposing columns and rectangular courtyard that was once dedicated to sacrificial ceremonies.
- Tour of Anjar & Lunch in Zahle
Your day will continue with a tour of Anjar, built in the eighth century by Caliph Al-Walid I. You will see the ruins of the ancient fortified city that once housed palaces, a souk, hammams and a mosque.
You will then take a pleasant break for lunch in a local restaurant in Zahle where you can sample delicious mezze (an assortment of small Lebanese dishes) and a glass of Arak (a traditional beverage).
- Tour of Ksara
The last stage of the tour will take you to Ksara, a beautiful village that was buried under the sand for centuries! Today it is home to the Château Ksara, one of Lebanon's oldest wineries. You can visit the wine cellars and can even taste one of the countless wines they produce.
You will then be taken back to Beirut after a discovery-filled day.
